AMENDING THE 1961 STORM DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN ADOPTED
NOVEMBER 6, 1963, AS AMENDED, BY PROVIDING FOR
TRANSFER OF APPROXIMATELY 60 ACRES FROM DRAINAGE AREA
DESIGNATED M -A-2 TO DRAINAGE AREA DESIGNATED J -C-4;
PROVIDING FOR CHANGING THE FLOW QUANTITIES, HYDRAULIC
GRADEELEVATIONS AND FLOW LINE ELEVATIONS ALONG THE
WOOLDRIDGE-STAPLES DITCH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT OrDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the 1961 Storm Drainage Master Plan for the
area South and West of the City of Corpus Christi as prepared by Blucher
and Naismith, Inc., Consulting Engineers, as amended, be amended by trans-
ferring approximately 60 acres from the Drainage Area designated as M -A-2
to Drainage Area designated J -C-4, and providing for changing the flow
quantities, hydraulic grade elevations and flow line elevations along the
outfall designated as the Wooldridge -Staples Ditch to accommodate the runoff
from the additional area, all as more fully shown on Exhibit '!N! attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
divert storm drainage for a more efficient utilization of the City's resources
which demands the prompt attention tirf the Council, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is,.
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
