HomeMy WebLinkAbout17074 ORD - 06/09/1982AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PLATTING ORDINANCE 4168 BY AMENDING SECTION V, REQUIRED IMPROVEMENTS, SUBSECTION B, MINIMUM STANDARDS, PARAGRAPH 3, SIDEWALKS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Platting Ordinance No. 4168 is hereby amended by amending Section V, required improvements, Subsection B, Minimum Standards, Paragraph 3, Sidewalks, as follows: 3. Sidewalks. Concrete sidewalks having a width of not less than four (4) feet and thickness of not less than four (4) inches shall be constructed on each side of each street within all subdivisions except that within industrial subdivisions, sidewalks shall be required only on streets that meet the following conditions: a) Streets that are in the Master'Transportation Plan as thoroughfares and/or collectors. b) Through streets that are either tying on to existing streets or to proposed thoroughfares or collectors. c) Perimeter streets where a sidewalk presently exists to the boundary of industrial subdivision. All required sidewalks shall be one (1) foot from the property line within the street right-of-way and shall extend along all street frontage including the side of corner lots and block ends; provided however, that where it is impratidal for the subdivider to provide such sidewalks on the side lot lines abutting major thoroughfares or drainage ditches, then in those instan- ces sidewalks shall not be required. 17074 g'? r"%4 giCZEUVIED That the foregoing ordinance was read for the first time_4nd passed to its second reading on this the zed? day of LfncLAts, 1915a— 2 by the following vote: Luther Jones Betty N.
