AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPIICATION OF
JOHN T. TUCKER
BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO
A PORTION OF LOT 9, SECTION 19, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL
FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS
FROM "A-1" APARTMFMT HOUSF DISTRICT
TO "B-1" NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council
its reports and recommendations concerning the application of
John T. Tucker for amendment
to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi;
WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons
wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice
to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday
June 9, 1982
, at Special Council meeting of
the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus
Christi; and
WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided
by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would
best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare
of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out.
SECTION 2. That the hereinafter described tract or parcel of land,
described as a portion of Lot 9, Section 19, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and
Garden Tracts, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be
and the same is hereby rezoned from "A-1" Apartment House District to "B-1"
Neighborhood Eusiness District:

FIELDNOTES for 60,300.00 square feet of land out of Lot 9, Section.10,
Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, a map of which is recorded
in Volume A; Pages 41, 42, 43, map records of Nueces County, Texas:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the Northwest flared right-of-way
line of Road Field Road (State Highway No. 357) and the NOrtheast-right-of-waY
line of Wooldridge Road for the South corner of this survey from which corner
the South corner of said Lot 9 bears South 29°01'00" West 30.00 feet to p point
on the centerline of Wooldridge Road and with said centerline South 6059'00"
East 260.54 feet;
THENCE North 60°59'00" West, along. the Northeast right-of-way line of Wool-
dridge Road, parallel to the centerline thereof and 30.00 feet distant there-
from, measured at right angles thereto, 209.27 feet to a point for the West cor-
ner of this survey;
THENCE Forth 61°20'00" East 361.85 feet to a point for the North corner of
this survey;
THENCE south 61'32'05" East 139.49 feet to a point on the .Northwest _right -
of -way line of said Road Field Road for the East corner of this survey; .

parallel.to the centerline thereof and 60.00 feet.distant therefrom, measured
at right angles thereto, 110.00 feet to a concrete monument found to mark an
angle point in said right-of-way and a corner of this survey;
THENCE South 61°20'00" West, along the aforementioned Northwest flared
right-of-way line of Rodd Field Road, as monumented, 233.28 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING. .
SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained.
SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from
time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning
change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and
shall take ct upon first reading as an emergency measure this the A4

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance oryesolution finally on the date it is.
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
