BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OF LOT 2, BLOCK 1, NUECES RIVER IRRIGATION PARK FROM "R -1B" ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "AB" PROFESSIONAL OFFICE DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Riverside Hospital, Inc. for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wi-s-h-intl\appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday June 23, 1982 , at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the hereinafter described tract or parcel of land described as a portion of Lot 2, Block 1, Mueces River Irrigation Park, situa- ted in the City of Corpus Christi, Mueces County, Texas, be and the same is hereby rezoned from "R -1B" One -family Dwelling District to "AB" Professional Office District: SEP 2 8 1984 170% MICROFILMED Description of 9 .752 acres of land, more or less, out of the northerly portion of a tract of land described in deed from Riverside Development Company to Robstown Riverside Hospital, Inc., as recorded in Vol. 1410, Pg . 152, Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas. Beginning at a 5/8" iron rod in the south right-of-way line of FM 624, a 100' wide road for the northeast corner of said 9 .752 acres of land; from said 5/8" Iron rod the ornal northwest corner of the tract recorded at Vol. 1410, P9. 152, Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas, bears N 100 00' 00" E, 30.08'; THENCE: With said south right-of-way line, S 84° 091 00" E, 608.46' to a 5/8" iron rod at the northeast corner of said 9 .752 acres oF land; THENCE: S 10° 00' 00" W, 700 .00' to a point for corner; THENCE: N 84°09' 00" W, 608.46' to a point for corner; THENCE: N 10° 00' 00" E, 700.00' to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of- an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take day of ATTEST: ct upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ;.25 , 19 51VXDAY OF 2 J.
