HomeMy WebLinkAbout17103 ORD - 06/30/1982AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF JACK RYAN BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO PORTIONS OF LOT 4. SECTION 30, AND LOT 5, SECTION 31. FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS FROM "R-16" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "A-2" APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Jade Pyan for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, June 30. 1982 , at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the hereinafter described tracts or parcels of land described as portions of Lot 4, Section 30, and Lot 5, Section 31, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be and the same are hereby changed from "R-16" One - family Dwelling District to "A-2" Apartment House District: 17103 SEP 28 i984 AigialLMLD FIELDNOTES for proposed OD zoning of 5.27 acres of land, more or less, out of Lot 4, Section 30 and Lot 5, Section 31, Blour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Gar- den Tracts, a map of which is recorded in Volume A, Pages 41, 42 and 43, Hap Re- cords of Nueces County, Texas: BEGINNING at a point on the Northeast boundary of Lot A, Block 3, South Bay Annex, a map of which is recorded in Volume 34, Page 82 of said Map Records for the West corner of. this tract)from which corner the North corner of said Lot A, Block 3 bears North 61°0800" West 120.00 feet, more or less, said West corner being the point of curvature of a circular curve to the left whose radius point bears North 28'5200" East 60.00 feet, more or less, and which has a central angle of 89°52'00", a radius of 60.00 feet, a tangent distance of 59.86 feet and an arc length of 94.11 feet, more or less; THENCE, along said circular curve to the left, 94.11 feet, more or less, for the point of tangency; THENCE North 29°00'00" East 310.00 feet, more or less, for the point of curva- ture of a circular curve to the left which has a central -angle of 23°30'00"; a ra- dius of 336.54 feet, a tangent distance of 70.00 feet and an arc length of 138.03 feet, more or less; . . SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6.
