WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of H W Reagan for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on June 30, 1982 , at Regular Wednesday. Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on Lots 5, 6, 11, and 12, Block 12 and Lots 1, 2, 3, 4,,7, 8, and 9, Block 13, Calallen Townsite and the hereinafter described parcel of land, described as a portion of the Gregorio Farias Grant A-592, all of which are situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be and the same are hereby changed from "R -1B" One -family Dwelling District to "R-2" Multiple Dwelling District: 17104 SEP 2 8 1984 NIGROEILM ED 4.9 Situated in Nueces County, Texas, and being a 1.653 -acre tract of land including Lots 11 and 12; Block 12, a portion of Avenue B, a portion of Lots 6 and 7, Block 17, a portion of Second Street, a portion of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and all of Lot 6, Block 18, a portion of an alley separating Block 18, and a portion of Lot 12, Block 18, in the Town of Calallen, Texas as shown on the map of saffe recorded in Vol. 1, page 44, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, same having been cancelled by Commissioner's Court Order insofar as it affects the hereinafter described property, reference to said plat being herein made for description only and not for purposes of rededication, being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Avenue B and the South line of Third Street; Thence on the South line of Third Street, North 700 44' East 201 feet more or less to the West line of Highway No. 9; Thence on the West line of Highway No. 9, South 2° 55' 50" West, 146.71 feet, South 17° 07' East, 164.28 feet, and South 40 06' East, 165.77 feet; Thence on the South line of Lot 6, Block 17, and the South line of Lot 11, Block 12, South 70° 44' West 276.35 feet to the centerline of a 20 -foot alley separating Block 12; Thence on the centerline of said alley, North 190 16' West, 130 feet to the centerline of Second Street; .-- - Thence on the centerline of Second Street, North 70° 44' East, 180 feet to the centerline of Avenue B; Thence on the centerline of Avenue B, North 19° 16' West, 330 feet to the place of beginning. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take e day of ATTEST: ct upon first reading as an emergency measure this the _30 , 19 22._ . 4.A6121?:e Ci Secretary 4118°.
