AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16833 BY AMENDING SECTION 3
TO CORRECT ASSESSMENTS FOR WALDRON ROAD STREET IMPROVE-
MENTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 16833, passed and approved on
January 20, 1982, be amended by amending Section 3 of said ordinance so
as to adopt the final assessment roll .and assessments levied against abut-
ting property owners on the following street:
WaldronRoad, from 600 1.f. south of Park Road 22 to N.A.S.
Drive,
as more fully described in the corrected and adjusted assessment roll, a
substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit "g.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
adopting the final assessment roll as aforesaid so that the street improve-
ment project may proceed without delay, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to considera-
tion and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings
so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading
as an emergency measure this the /7 day of July, 1982.

TO N.A.S. DRIVE
JULY 7, 1982
This project includes improvements of Waldron Road within the limits described.
The roadway will be 59' wide from Park Road 22 to a point 600 L.F. south and 48'
wide from Park Road 22 to N.A.S. Drive. These improvements shall consist of
excavation to a width and depth to permit the laying of a standard curb and gutter
section, 7" compacted subgrade, 7" lime stablized base, and 1/2" underseal surface
treatment topped with 1 1/4" Asphaltic Concrete Pavement. Standard 5' wide rein—
forced concrete sidewalk, 4" thick shall be constructed on both sides of the street
and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways shall be constructed as shown on the
plans and specifications of the State Department of Highways and Public Transpora—
tion.
This project is being constructed jointly by the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation and the City. Based on the low bid submitted by Heldenfels
Brothers, Inc. and the City's current assessment policy, abutting property owners
are assessed at the following rates:
