AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE MASTER SANITARY SEWER PLAN BY
RELOCATING SEWER NO. 8-0 AND DOWNSIZING
SEWER NO. 8-0; CHANGING A PORTION OF SEWER NO.
8-0 TO SEWER NO. 8-E AND DOWNSIZING SEWER NO.
8-E; AND DOWNSIZING THE DOUBLE 16 INCH DIAMETER
FORCE MAIN IN LAGUNA SHORES ROAD; AND ALTER
MISCELLANEOUS SUE -AREA DIVIDES; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY. _
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Master Sanitary Sewer Plan for the Flour
Bluff Area dated 1965 be amended by relocating sewer No. 8-0 to Align with
Deborah Lane and extend westerly down Purdue Road to Waldron Road and
downsizing Sewer No. 8-D from 18 inch to 12 inch diameter; that a portion
of Sewer No. 8-0 be changed from 21 inch to 12 inch diameter; and downsizing
the double 16 inch diameter force main in Laguna Shores Road to allow for
a 10 inch and 14 inch diameter force main to extend up Laguna Shores Road;
and alter miscellaneous sub -area divides in conformance with existing and
proposed development, all as shown on Plates 58, 62, and 6301' said Master
Plan, further shown on Exhibits A and B.providing for the payment of $800 an
acre to help fund future sanitary sewer lines in the area from an 80 acre tract
of land on the north side of Purdue Road proposed to be known as Laguna Estates
subdivision as approved by the Planning Commission on September 1, 1982.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency. due to the need :for
amending the Master Sanitary Sewer Plan to promote the health, safety, and ,
economic development of the City, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall t e effect upon first reading as an emergency
measure this the //day of , 1982.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is -
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
