AN ORDINANCE
INCREASING THE TRANSIT FUND NO. 118 ESTIMATED REVENUES
$99,716; INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS $99,716 AND AUTHORI-
ZING AN APPROPRIATION OF $73,068.00 TO REIMBURSE THE
URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRATION FOR OVERPAY-
MENT OF OPERATING GRANT FUNDS; INCREASING THE TRANSIT
FUND RESERVE $26,680; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Urban Mass Transportation has completed an audit of
Federal Operating Transit Assistant Grants for the fiscal years 1975.through
1980; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there has been an underpay-
ment to the City of $99,716.00 for fiscal years 1975, 1976, and 1977; and
WHEREAS, it has been also determined that there has been an over-
payment to the City of $73,068.00 for fiscal years 1978, 1979, and 1980;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Transit Fund No. 118 estimated revenues be
increased $99,716, and Appropriations be increased $99,716.
SECTION 2. That $73,068 be appropriated from the Transit Fund
No. 118 to reimburse the Urban Mass Transportation Administration for over-
payment of Transit Operating Assistant Grants for fiscal years, 1978, 1979,
and 1980.
SECTION 3. That the Transit Fund No. 118 revenue be increased
by $26,680 to reflect the difference between the said underpayments and
overpayments.
SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
respond to the federal request for payment of the abovementioned funds by
August 8, 1982, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance

an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it ia
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
