AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $4,943.53 FOR CONTRACT PAYMENT TO THE
PADRE ISLAND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR NEW WASTE-
WATER SERVICE CONNECTIONS ON THE KENNEDY CAUSEWAY;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated !t4,943.53 from the
Kennedy Causeway Lease Reserve trust account for a contract payment to the
Padre Island Development Corporation for new wastewater service connections
on the Kennedy Causeway.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate funds for new wastewater service connections on the Kennedy
Causeway to improve public facilities at the earliest Possible time, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions
at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the
July, 1982.
