CLOSING AND ABANDONING UTILITY AND ELECTRICAL EASE-
MENTS IN TULOSO ESTATES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there exist a utility and electrical easements as shown
on a plat of record filed in Volume 47, Pages 65 and 66 of the Map Records
of Nueces County, Texas, being located in Block 2 of Tuloso Estates; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and advantageous
to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said easements:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described utility and electrical
easements located in Block 2 of Tuloso Estates, as recorded in Volume 47,
Pages 65 and 66 of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, be and the same
are unconditionally closed and abandoned for public use and every municipal
purpose, subject to replatting at the owner's expense with the dedication of
the substitute easements as required, said easements being contiguous to the
lot lines of the referenced lots being described as:
5' utility easement along the southeast boundary
line of Lot 14,
5' utility easement along the northwest boundary
line of Lot 15,
3' electrical easement along the southeast boundary
line of Lot 17,
3' electrical easement along the northwest boundary
line of Lot 18,
3electrical easement along the southeast boundary
line of Lot 28,
5' electrical easement along the northwest boundary
line of Lot 31,
5' electrical easement along the southeast boundary
line of Lot 32,
5' electrical easement along the northerly portion of
the southeast boundary line of Lot 37,
5' electrical easement along the northerly portion of
the northwest boundary line of Lot 38;
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this
City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word
or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.

SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by abandoning and closing the afore-
mentioned easements, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring.
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and
shall ake effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the,aV day

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
