AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, BY AMENDING
ARTICLE II, MARINA, SECTION 12-61, "RATES AND
RENTAL FEES FOR USE OF SLIPS AND DOCK SPACE
SCHEDULE AND REGULATIONS"; INCREASING SLIPS
RATES TO SIX CENTS (6) PER SQUARE FOOT PER
MONTH, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PRO-
VIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Amending the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi,
1976 Revision, as amended, by amending Article II, Marina, Section 12-61
"Rates and'Rental Fees for Use of Slips and Dock Space -Schedule and Regula-
tions'; increasing slip rates to six cents (6) per square foot per month;
specifically amending ordinance No. 13889 as amended, Section 1, Paragraph
(2), passed and approved by the City Council on August 17, 1977, by amending
paragraph (2), as follows:
"Section 12-61. Rates and Rental fee for use of slips and dock-
age apace - schedule and regulations".
Paragraph (2) the first and second sentences to read:
(2) The monthly rate and rental fee for boat slips in the Corpus
Christi Marina shall be six cents (6) per square foot per month, determined
by multiplying the rate times the square foot of the slip. The minimum rate
for all slips less than 430 square feet shall be $25.80.
All remaining sentences within paragraph (2) remain valid.
Section 2. All ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflicts.
SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction
it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent
of,the City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its
purpose.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective from and after
August 1, 1982.
SECTION 5. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi, by publishing the caption of
this ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
