HomeMy WebLinkAbout17162 ORD - 07/28/1982AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-21 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES SO AS TO ESTABLISH AN IMPOUNDMENT FEE OF $25.00 ,FOR LIVESTOCK; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE: AND PRO- VIDING FOR PUBLICATION. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That paragraph (d) of Section 6-21 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, 1976, as amended, is hereby amended by amending subparagraph (i) thereof to hereafter read as follows: "(1) Impoundment Fee: a. First impoundment Animals except livestock ::: 00 Livestock 00 b. Second or subsequent impoundment within the next twenty-four (24) months: The fee shall be doubled." SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full -force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi one time, which publication shall contain the caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. 1716f2 sEp 2 8 1984 CROFILMED.
