HomeMy WebLinkAbout17202 ORD - 08/11/1982AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF SPM PROPFRTIFS BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OF LOT 15, ALL OF LOTS 16 ANn 17 Ann A PCIRTION OF LOT 18, BLOCK 1406-A, PORT ARANSAS CITFFS FROM "A-2" APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT TO "AB" PROFESSIONAL OFFICE DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of SPGM Properties for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to Consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, August 11, 1982, , at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on the hereinafter described tract or parcel oT land, being described as a portion of Lot 15, all of Lots 16 and 17, and a portion of Lot 18, Block 1406-A, Port Aransas Cliffs, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "A-2" Apart- ment House District to "AB" Professional Office District. 28 1964 MICROFILMED. 17202 Beginning at the east corner of the north 5 feet of Lot 15. Thence N.58.54E. along the east border of Lot's 15, 16, 17, ' 18 75 feet to a point, the north corner of the south easterly 20 feet of Lot 18 Block 1406-A P.A. Cliffs. Thence N.31.06 W 125 feet to a point in the west boundary of Lot 18 Block1406-A and the east boundary line of Lot D Block 1406-A P.A. Cliffs. Thence S.58.54 W. along the west border of Lot's 15, 16, 17, 18 a distance of 75 feet to a point, the south corner of said north 5 feet of Lot 15 being the south corner of this TR. Thence 8.31.06 E. for 125 feet parallel to Lot 16 to the point of beginning. And being the same land described in Warranty Deed found in Volume 1495, Page 430 Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration, of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take fect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of , 19 ATTEST: itt el ',DAY OF J.
