HomeMy WebLinkAbout17217 ORD - 08/25/1982AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $166,125 FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF ONE CLARIFIER UNIT AND SIX FLOATING MECHANICAL AERATORS AT ALLISON WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $166,125 out of the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund for the purchase and installation of one clarifier unit and six floating mechanical aerators at the Allison Wastewater Treatment Plant applicable to Project No. 250-77-17. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the purchase and installation of the aforementioned equipment at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the (25 day of August, 1982.
