HomeMy WebLinkAbout17228 ORD - 09/01/1982TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $18,800 FOR CONCRETE DRIVEWAYS, CURBS AND GUTTERS ALONG AND ADJACENT TO OSO BAY BRIDGES ON SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $18,800 out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund for the construction of concrete driveways, curbs, and gutters along and adjacent to the Oso Bay Bridges on South Padre Island Drive applicable to Project No. 220-77-20.5, Padre Island Illumination System: Oso Bay Bridges. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for appropriating the aforementioned funds so that the Oso Bay Bridge Improvement project can proceed in a timely manner, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinance or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the4e7 day of September, 1982.
