CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE SOUTH 0.5 FOOT WIDE Y 9L82
FOOT LONG PORTION OF A 7.5 FOOT WIDE BY 106.82 LONG
UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF LOT 16, BLOCK 4,
WOODLAND CREEK UNIT 5,; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there exists a 0.5 foot wide by 96.82 foot long portion of
a 7.5 foot wide by 106.82 foot long utility easement along the north side of
Lot 16, Block 4, Woodland Creek Unit 5, as shown on property map filed in
Volume 46, Pages 201 and 202, of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it, is feasible and
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said utility easement
subject to replatting at the present owners expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the south 0.5 foot wide by 96.82 foot long portion
of a 7.5 foot wide by 106.82 foot long utility easement along the north side
of Lot 16, Block 4, Woodland Creed Unit 5, be closed and abandoned, said
closure beginning at the west right-of-way line of Woodland Creek Drive and
proceeding westerly, as shown on property map filed in Volume 46, Pages 201
and 202 of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, subject to replatting at
the present owners expense.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the
aforesaid utility easement, such finding of an emergency is made and declared
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the Ar- day of September, 1982.

an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it iS
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
