AMENDING ORDINANCE 17107, PASSED AND APPROVED ON JULY 7,
1982, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE SO AS TO
ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND ASSESSMENT LEVIED
AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS ON KENTNER STREET, FROM
PALMETTO STREET TO CLAREMORE STREET, AS HEREIN PROVIDED;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance 17107, passed and approved on July 7,
1982, be amended by amending Section 3 of said ordinance so as to adopt the
final assessment roll and assessments levied against abutting property owners
on Kentner Street, from Palmetto Street to Claremore Street, as more fully
described in the corrected and adjusted assessment roll, a substantial copy
of which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by making adjustments in the
assessment roll for the above described public improvement project, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at
three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 44 --day of October,
1982.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council. '
