DALEY TO THE OFFICE OF DIRECTOR OF FINANCE: OF JUAN GARZA TO THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF FINANCE: OF THOMAS W. STEWART TO THE OFFICE OF DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION: AND OF, VICTOR S. MEDINA TO THE OFFICE OF GENERAL SUPERIN- TENDENT OF THE GAS SYSTEM: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: Section 1. That Charles J. Daley, appointed to the Office of Director of Finance by the City Manager, pursuant to the City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. Section 2. That Juan Garza, appointed to the Office of Deputy Director of Finance by the City Manager, pursuant to the City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. Section 3. That Thomas W. Stewart, appointed to the Office of Director of Transportation by the City Manager, pursuant to the City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. Section 4. That Victor S. Medina, appointed to the Office of General Superintendent of the Gas System by the City Manager, pursuant to the City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. Section 5. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by making the appointments as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions, at three regular meetings so that this resolution is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this la day of October, 1982.
