APPROVING THE FORM OF THE OFFICIAL
STATEMENT PERTAINING TO CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS GENERAL IMPROVEMENT
BONDS, SERIES 1982, AND AUTHORIZING,
RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE OFFICIAL
STATEMENT AND THE USE THEREOF IN THE
OFFERING AND SALE OF SAID BONDS,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi is authorized to
issue and sell its $10,525,000 General Improvement Bonds,
Series 1982 authorized at an election held February 20,
1982, pursuant to the Constitution and laws of Texas; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council that the
Official Statement pertaining to said Bonds, and the use of
said Official Statement should be duly authorized, ratified
and approved.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
1. That the Official Statement, including the Official
Notice of Sale, as set forth herein is hereby approved as to
form and content.
2. That the use of the Official Statement and all
addenda, if any, thereto in the offering and sale of said
Bonds is hereby authorized, ratified and approved.
3. That the form of the Official Statement shall be
substantially as follows, to -wit:

4. The fact that the contemplated use of the proceeds
of the bonds is necessary for the orderly development and
growth of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, creates a
public emergency and an imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule providing that
no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the
date it is introduced and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council
and the Mayor having declared that such public emergency and
imperative necessity exist, and having requested that said
Charter Rule be suspended and that this ordinance take
effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, it is accordingly so ordained.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this the '41" day of October,
1982.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
