CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 50 FOOT WIDE AND 127.0 FOOT
LONG UNNAMED STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN LOT 1, BLOCK 2,
- AND LOT 5, BLOCK 3, FERRELL SUBDIVISION NO. 2; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, a 50 foot wide and 127.0 foot long unnamed street
right-of-way exist between Lot 1, Block 2, and Lot 5, Block 3, Ferrell
Subdivision No. 2, as shown by plat recorded in Volume 10, Page 54, Map
Records, Nueces County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said right-of-way:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the 50 foot wide and 127.0 foot long unnamed
street right-of-way between Lot 1, Block 2, and Lot 5, Block 3, Ferrell
Subdivision No. 2, as shown by plat recorded in Volume 10, Page 54, Map
Records, Nueces County, Texas, be closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. That one-half of said 50 foot right-of-way be reverted
to the owners of property abutting Lot 1, Block 2, and Lot 5, Block 3, and
that Lot 1 and Lot 5 will be replated at the property owners' expense.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find a declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the
aforesaid right-of-way, such finding of an emergency is made and declared
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council. '
