HomeMy WebLinkAbout17339 ORD - 11/03/1982• AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH ALL -MARK COMPANY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF HEATED THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKING MATERIAL, RAISED REFLECTIVE PAVEMENT MARKERS AND PRE -FORMED THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKING MATERIAL; APPROPRIATING $55,141.79 AND SETTING UP AN ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ACCOUNT FOR $24,670.01; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute a contract with A11 -Mark Company for the installation of heated thermoplastic pavement marking material, raised reflective pavement markers and pre -formed thermoplastic pavement marking material all as more fully set forth in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of A11 -Mark Company opened on the 7th day of September, 1982, said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $55,141.79 from a pavement marking demonstration grant No. PMS -005(108), and that there is hereby established an accounts receivable account for $24,670.01 based on documentation from the Highway Administration which is subject to and not to be paid until receipt of federal funding. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 254 day of November, 1982.
