HomeMy WebLinkAbout17354 ORD - 11/10/1982TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SETTLEMENT OF FIVE CLAIMS FOR REFUND OF PAYMENTS MADE IN LIEU OF PARK DEDICATION; APPROPRIATING $64,806.92 FROM PARK TRUST FUNDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the claim of Tom W. Land Company, for refund of monies White, trustee for Parkway y sa d of park dedication be settled and compromised ed for $28,875. to the City in lieu SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $14,437.50 from Park Trust Fund No. 111-241.24, Malibu Park, and $14,437.50 from Park Trust Fund No. 111-241.06, Stonegate Park, for payment of the claim referred to in Section 1, above. SECTION 3. That Northwest Christian Center's claim for refund of monies paid by it to the City in lieu compromised for $2,942.00. SECTION 4. That there is hereby appropriated $2,942.00 from Park Trust Fund No. 111-241.35, Cenizo Park, for payment of the claim referred to in Section 3, above. SECTION 5. That PJC Partnership's claim for refund of monies paid by it to the City in lieu of park dedication be settled and compromised for $12,994.97. SECTION 6. That there is hereby appropriated Trust Fund No. 111-241.37, Lexington Park, and $517.57 No. 111-241.01, Unrestricted Funds, for payment of the Section 5, above of park dedication be settled and $12,477.40 from Park from Park Trust Fund claim referred to in SECTION 7. That the claim of Catalyst, a partnership, for refund of monies paid by it to the City in lieu of park dedication be settled and compromised for $16,575.65. SECTION 8. That there is hereby appropriated Trust Fund No. 111-241.32, Windsor Park, and $1,590.65 No. 111-241.01, Unrestricted Funds, for payment of the Section 7, above. 17354 $14,985.00 from Park from Park Trust Fund claim referred to in SEP 2 8 1984 SECTION 9. That the claim of B.D. Holt Company for refund of monies paid by it to the City in lieu of park dedication be settled and compromised for $3,419.30. SECTION 10. That there is hereby appropriated $3,419.30 from Park Trust Fund No. 111-241.02, Inwood Park, for payment of the claim referred to in Section 9, above. SECTION 11. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by settling the aforementioned claims, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the / day of November, 1982.
