HomeMy WebLinkAbout17356 ORD - 11/10/1982AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE PORTION OF 40 FOOT WIDE RAILROAD AVENUE ADJACENT TO LOTS 3 THROUGH 12, BLOCK 6, PATRICK WEBB ADDITION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, a 40 foot wide right-of-way exists on Railroad Avenue adjacent to Lots 3 through 12, Block 6, Patrick Webb Addition, a map of which is recorded in Volume A, Page 13, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said right-of-way providing that entire 40 foot width revert to the owners of adjacent lots in said Block 6; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the 40 foot wide right-of-way on Railroad Avenue adjacent to Lots 3 through 12, Block 6, Patrick Webb Addition, a map of which is recorded in Volume A, Page 13, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, be closed and abandoned providing that the entire 40 foot width revert to the owners of adjacent lots in said Block 6. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find a declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the aforesaid right-of-way such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /? day of November, 1982.
