CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 10 FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT
ADJACENT TO THE MOST SOUTHERLY PORTION OF THE SOUTHEAST
BOUNDARY OF LOT 2, UNIT 1, WASHBURN MEADOWS SUBDIVISION;
PROVIDING FOR REPLATTING OF SAID LOT 2; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, a 10 foot wide utility easement exists adjacent to the
most southerly portion of the southeast boundary of Lot 2, Unit 1, Washburn
Meadows Subdivision as recorded in Volume 39, Pages 50 and 51, Map Records,
Nueces County, Texas, from a point 10 feet northeast of the south corner of
said Lot 2 to approximately 50 feet northeast as shown on the attached
exhibit; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said utility easement
provided that said Lot 2, Unit 1, Washburn Meadows Subdivision be replatted
at the owners expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the 10 foot wide utility easement adjacent to the
most southerly southeast boundary of Lot 2, Unit 1, Washburn Meadows
Subdivision as recorded in Volume 39, Pages 50 and 51, Map Records, Nueces
County, Texas, be closed and abandoned providing that said Lot 2, Unit 1,
Washburn Meadows Subdivison, be replatted at the owners expense.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find a declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the
aforesaid utility easement such finding of an emergency is made and declared
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passed nd shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the day of December, 1982.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
