AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO KING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR
REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY LOCATED AT
3601 CYPRESS; APPROPRIATING $2,800.00 FOR THIS
CONSTRUCTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That payment of $2,798.95 is hereby approved to King
Construction Company for the removal and replacement of a concrete driveway
located at 3601 Cypress in connection with the Carroll Lane Reconstruction
Project.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $2,800.00 out of the
No. 220 Street Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 220-77-3, Carroll Lane,
Staples to Tiger Lane, for this construction.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council.,
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need of reconstructing the abovementioned driveway in connection with the
Carroll Lane Reconstruction Project, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency
measure this the day of January, 1983.

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
