AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROPOSAL OF U.A.M., INC. TO
PROVIDE AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE CITY AND ADJACENT
AREAS; APPROPRIATING $33,075 FOR THESE PHOTOGRAPHS; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
the proposal of U.A.M., Inc. of San Antonio to provide aerial photographs of
the City and adjacent areas.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $33,075 out of the
No. 162 Federal States Grant Fund, Dept. 152, Activity No. 807.06, Code 475,
Eighth Year Community Development Block Grant Fund for these photographs.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by accepting
the aforementioned proposal for aerial photographs as being the most
advantageous for the City of Corpus Christi, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed andd shall take effectrupon first
reading as an emergency measure this the y -'day of January, 1983.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
