HomeMy WebLinkAbout17465 ORD - 02/09/1983• I_ AN ORDINANCE - AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH SOUTH TEXAS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR A WASTEWATER MAINTENANCE BUILDING, A PARK DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE BUILDING, AND A HEAVY EQUIPMENT BUILDING AT THE SERVICE CENTER; APPROPRIATING $925,000 FOR THIS CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute a contract with South Texas Construction Company for a Wastewater Maintenance Building, a Park Department Maintenance Building, and a Heavy Equipment Building at the Service Center, all as more fully set forth in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of South Texas Construction Company opened on the 19th day of January, 1983, said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of. Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $337,165 out of the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund of which $314,565 is for the contract award, $10,000 is for additional architectural fees, and $12,600 is for contingencies, engineering, testing, legal advertising, printing, and related expenses applicable to Project No. 250-770-14, Wastewater Maintenance Building Construction; there is appropriated $333,759 out of the No. 291 Park Bond Fund of which $319,159 is for the contract award, $2,000 is for additional architectural fees, and $12,600 is for contingencies, engineering, testing, legal advertising, printing, and related expenses applicable to Project No. 291-77-6 Park Maintenance Building Construction; and there is appropriated $254,076 out of the No. 264 Service Center Bond Fund of which $243,753 is for the contract award, and $10,323 is for contingencies, engineering, testing, legal advertising, printing, and related expenses applicable to Project No. 264-72-2 Heavy Equipment Building Construction. SECTION 3.
