AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NOS. 2, 3, 4,
AND 5 AND 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, AND 12 TO TWO
SEPARATE CONTRACTS WITH W. T. YOUNG CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A SANITARY SEWER
COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR THE OSO WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT;
APPROPRIATING $108,222.83; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute Change
Order Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5 and 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 to two
separate contracts with W. T. Young Construction Company which provides for
the installation of a sanitary sewer collection system for the Oso Wastewater
Treatment Plant, projects Nos. 250-77-24 and 250-77-25 respectively, copies
of said change orders, which are on file in the office of the City Secretary,
are incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $108,222.83 from the
No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 220-77-25, Oso
Contract 3, Country Club Lift Station Renovation - Staples Lift Station and
Main.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
take immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting
the construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made
and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take e ect upon first reading as an emergency

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
