REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 14792 WHICH PROVIDED FOR A
CONTRACT WITH MILLER AND GRIGSBY FOR PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE BOYS' CLUB SWIMMING POOL;
CANCELLING THE UNEXPENDED APPROPRIATION; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance Number 14792, which provided for a
contract with Miller and Grigsby for plans and specifications for the Boys'
Club Swimming Pool, is hereby repealed on mutual consent of both the City and
Miller and Grigsby.
SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $7,920 applicable to Project
No. 162-4741-502, is hereby cancelled and made available for reappropriation
in this project within the No. 162 Federal/State Grants Fund, Activity 4741,
Code 502, Fourth Year Community Development Block Grant.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to immediate
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by repealing
the abovementioned ordinance, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency
measure this the J" "day of February, 1983.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
