HomeMy WebLinkAbout17493 ORD - 02/23/1983AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $30,940 FOR PURCHASE OF TRANSIT SHOP EQUIPMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $30,940 out of the No. 218 Transit Bond Fund for purchase of shop equipment, a portion of which is funded by UMTA Grant No. TX -05-0014, applicable to Project No. 218-72-3, Transit System Capital Improvements (1976). SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by appropriating funds for the aforementioned Transit Shop equipment, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first _ reading as an emergency measure this the Ad.lay of February, 1983.
