AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO INCLUDE NEW SECTION 23-18 "HEALTH CLINIC
VISIT FEE" TO PROVIDE A $2.00 HEALTH CLINIC VISIT FEE TO
BE CHARGED TO EACH PATIENT FOR EACH VISIT TO CITY -COUNTY
HEALTH CLINIC FACILITIES FUNDED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI FOR PATIENTS WHOSE HOUSEHOLD
MONTHLY INCOME EXCEEDS FEDERAL GUIDELINES FOR FINANCIAL
SUPPORT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 23 of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to add new Section 23-18 "Health Clinic Visit
Fee" to read as follows:
Section 23-18 "Health Clinic Visit Fee".
A fee of two dollars ($2.00) is hereby established to be
charged to each patient for each visit to City -County
Health Clinic facilities funded in whole or in part by
the City of Corpus Christi, provided that the patient's
household monthly income exceeds federal Social Security
Act, Title XX guidelines for financial support. If a
patient's family household monthly income exceeds such
federal guidelines, but the patient's household is still
unable to pay this fee, the patient will be exempted from
paying the fee if the patient or patient's guardian signs
a written statement at the time of each clinic visit that
the patient's household is financially unable to make
such payment.
