SIMMONS & ASSOCIATES, INC., BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO PORTIONS OF THE WILLIAM J. ROBERTSON 508.37 ACRE TRACT OUT OF THE RINCON del OSO GRANT, ABSTRACT NO. 1, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM "R -1B" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT, "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND "I-2" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "R -1C" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of N.O. Simmons & Associates, Inc. for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, March 16, 1983, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on the hereinafter described tract of land described as portions of the William J. Robertson 508.37 acre tract out of the Rincon del Oso Grant, Abstract No. 1, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "R -1B" One -family Dwelling District, "6-4" General Business District, and "I-2" Light Industrial District to "R -1C" One -family Dwelling District: FIELDNOTE DESCRIPTION of a portion of the William J. Robertson, 508.37 acre tract out of the Rincon del Oso Grant, Abstract No. 1, Nueces County, Texas, and being that same tract described in Volume 1553, Page 476, Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas, described as follows: COMMENCING at the south corner of said William J. Robertson Tract, also being the east corner of a 1,852.83 acre tract as described in Warranty Deed, Volume 90, Page 17532 b11CROFILMED SEP 28 1984 436, Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas, from whence a drill hole found bears S 28° 00' 00" W, 20.00 feet, said drill hole being 0.34 feet northeasterly measured at right angles, from the centerline of Saratoga Boulevard (State Highway No. 357); THENCE, along the northeasterly boundary line of said 1,852.83 acre tract and the southwesterly boundary line of said William J. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /4p day ofj„j a i , .
