HomeMy WebLinkAbout17556 ORD - 04/06/1983AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 17065 BY AMENDING SECTION 3. IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON HORNE ROAD, FROM COLUMBIA STREET TO OLD BROWNSVILLE ROAD; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 17065, passed and approved June 2, 1982, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on Horne Road, from Columbia Street to Old Brownsville Road, a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed// an shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the (p day of April, 1983. ATTEST: —f�cretary- "'a APPROVEDeDAY OF APRIL, 1983 ;.'ruce Aycoc City Attorney MAYOR THE CY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS 17556 MICROFILMED `SEP 2 81984 FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL HORNE ROAD FROM COLUMBIA STREET TO BROWNSVILLE ROAD This project shall include improvments to Horne Road within the limits described and provides for a roadway 56.5 feet in width within the existing right-of-way. The roadway will have a 6" thick lime treated subgrade, a 12" thick stablized flexible base and 11/4" asphaltic concrete pavement. Sidewalk shall be constructed 4 feet in width on the south side of the street and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways shall be constructed as shown on the plans or where requested by the owners. This project is being constructed jointly by the City and the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation and is an improvement assessment project.
