HomeMy WebLinkAbout17563 ORD - 04/13/19831 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1982-83 BUDGET TO INCLUDE RISK MANAGEMENT AND SAFETY, ACTIVITY 112-501.17, AND PROVIDING FOR AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE UNALLOCATED FUND BALANCE OF THE SELF INSURANCE FUND FOR RISK MANAGEMENT EXPENDITURES IN 1982-83; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the 1982-83 Budget be amended by creating the Risk Management and Safety activity. SECTION 2. That an appropriation of $63,870 be made from the unappropriated fund balance of the Self -Insurance Fund (137-123-564.95) to reimburse the Risk Management and Safety activity for 1982-83 budgeted expenditures. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by creating the Risk Management and Safety activity, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 13th day of April, 1983.
