HomeMy WebLinkAbout17572 ORD - 04/20/1983AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 5 FOOT WIDE WATER LINE EASEMENT IN LOTS 11 AND 12, LEXINGTON INDUSTRIAL CENTER; PROVIDING FOR REPLATTING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, a 5 foot wide water line easement exists in Lots 11 and 12, Lexington Industrial Center, dedicated by instrument recorded in Volume 923, Page 494, Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas, and shown by plat recorded in Volume 38, Page 123, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas; and ' WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said water line easement provided that applicant replat all affected properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned a 5 foot wide water line easement in Lots 11 and 12, Lexington Industrial Center, dedicated by instrument recorded in Volume 923, Page 494, Deed Records, Nueces County,Texas, and shown by plat recorded in Volume 38, Page 123, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, provided that applicant replat all affected properties. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the aforesaid water line easement, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed ashall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the o'AIO day of April, 1983.
