APPROVING AND ADOPTING A WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS
MASTER PLAN FOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI.
WHEREAS, Black and Veatch Consulting Engineering firm was hired in
January 1982 to prepare a water distribution systems plan for the City of
Corpus Christi which was to address the adequacy of existing facilities to
meet present residential and industrial needs and to identify areas where
modification and improvements are needed; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the adoption of a Water
Distribution Systems Master Plan for the City of Corpus Christi was held on
the 30th day of March 1983 in the Council Chambers of City Hall in the City of
Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, submission of the aforesaid Water Distribution Systems
Master Plan by the City Manager to the City Council is in accordance with the
provisions of Article V, Section 4, of the City Charter, said plans having
been approved by the Planning Commission on March 1, 1983:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That approval is hereby given for adoption of a Water
Distribution Systems Master Plan for the City of Corpus Christi as prepared by
Black -and Veatch Consulting Engineers, which Master Plan is incorporated

herein and made a part hereof by reference and is on file in the office of the
City Secretary.
