AMENDING THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AGREEMENT WITH PPG
INDUSTRIES, INC. BY DELETING FROM EXHIBIT "A" OF THE
AGREEMENT FIVE ACRES SOLD TO AMERICAN CHROME AND
CHEMICALS, INC.; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
an amendment to the Industrial District Agreement with PPG Industries, Inc..-

authorized by Ordiance No. 16150, passed April 1, 1981, as amended, by
deleting from Exhibit "A" of the agreement five acres sold to American Chrome
and Chemicals, Inc., all as more fully set forth in the amendment, a
substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit "1".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by amending
the aforementioned Industrial District Agreement, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first
reading as an emergency measure this the 1st day of June, 1983.

This amendment to the Industrial District Agreement is entered into
by and between the City of Corpus Christi,
Nueces County, Texas, and PPG Industries,
(Landowner), and PPG Industries, Inc.
Texas, a municipal corporation of
Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation,
, a Pennsylvania corporation,
(Improvements Owner) hereinafter collectively called "COMPANY".
The City of Corpus Christi and Company agree that the attached
revision to Exhibit "A" consisting of a description of an approximately 5.0
acre tract shall be deleted from being within and no longer subject to the
Company's industrial district agreement (Corpus Christi Industrial District
No. 10) authorized by Ordinance No. 16150. The contract amendment is to be
effective as of December 31, 1982.

ALL those three (3) certain tracts of land situated in Nueces County, Texas,
being more particularly bounded and described as follows, to -wit:
FIRST, a 2.0956 -acre parcel of ground out of the east portion
of the Frances Avery Share of the Charles Avery Tract described
by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of the
right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad where the
same is intersected by the westerly line of Poth Lane
at PPG Monument No. 508; thence along the westerly line
of Poth Lane South 30° 53' 30" West, a distance of
492.79 feet to a point; thence through lands of PPG
Industries, Inc., of which this parcel is a part, North
61° 58' 40" West, a distance of 241.53 feet to a point;
thence continuing through same North 31° 00' 00" East,
265.06 feet to a point on the southerly line of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence along
said southerly line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad
right-of-way North 76° 00' 00" East, a distance of
339.80 feet to a point on the southerly line of said
Railroad right-of-way where the same is intersected by
the westerly line of Path Lane at PPG Monument No. 508,
said point being the point of beginning.
SECOND, beginning at a point on the northerly right-of-way line
of the Missouri Pacific Railroad at the line dividing lands of
PPG Industries, Inc., and lands now of American Chrome & Chemi-
cals Inc., formerly of PPG Industries, Inc., conveyed to Ameri-
can Chrome & Chemicals Inc., by a Warranty Deed dated October 15,

Volume 1723, pages 580-597; thence from said point of beginning and
along the line dividing lands of PPG Industries, Inc., of which the
within -described tract is a part, and lands now of American Chrome 6
Chemicals Inc., the following nine (9) sources and distances:
1. North 35' 12' 23" West, 180.99 feet to a point; thence

point"; thence continuing therefrom, fon locational reference,
the following four (4) courses and distances along the line
dividing lands of PPG Industries, Inc., and lands now of American

brass monument set in concrete (being PPG Industries,

OF BEGINNING for the within -described parcel; thence

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
