HomeMy WebLinkAbout17641 ORD - 06/08/1983 (2)AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF AMI RIVERSIDE HOSPITAL BY GRANTING A SPECIAL COUNCIL PERMIT TO ADD NEW SIGNAGE TO EXISTING HOSPITAL ON PORTIONS OF RIVERSIDE HOSPITAL TRACT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of AMI Riverside Hospital for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, June 8, 1983, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That a Special Council Permit to add new signage to existing hospital be granted on portions of Riverside Hospital Tract, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, as shown in the site plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A", and further described by metes and bounds as follows: SIGN C DESCRIPTION of a proposed sign location out of that 21.598 acre tract out of Lot 2, Block 1, Nueces River Irrigation Park, as shown by map recorded in Volume A, Page 54, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said 21.598 acre tract being described in Deed recorded in Volume 1015, Page 535, Deed Records, said County, and being described as follows: COMMENCING at the northeast corner of said 21.598 acre tract, said point being on the southerly right-of-way line of Farm -to -Market Road 624; THENCE, along the east line of said tract, S 10° 00' 00" W, 268.00 feet; 17641 SEP 61984 r THENCE, N 80° 00' 00" W, at 265.00 feet pass the beginning of a 1 foot thick brick wall and continuing along said wall, in all 281.00 feet; THENCE, continuing along said wall, N 80° 00' 00" W, 10.00 feet; THENCE, N 10° 00' 00" E, 10.00 feet; THENCE, S 80° 00' 00" E, 10.00 feet; THENCE, S 10° 00' 00" W, 10.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 100 square feet, more or less. SIGN A DESCRIPTION of a proposed sign location out of that 21.598 acre tract out of Lot 2, Block 1, Nueces River Irrigation Park, as shown by map recorded in Volume A, Page 54, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said 21.598 acre tract being described in Deed recorded in Volume 1015, Page 535, Deed Records, said County, and being described as follows: COMMENCING at the northeast corner of said 21.598 acre tract, said point being on the southerly right-of-way line of Farm -to -Market Road 624; THENCE, along the north line of said tract and along said southerly right-of-way line, N 84° 09' 00" W, 279.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of this location; THENCE, S 5° 51' 00" W, 35.00 feet; THENCE, N 84° 09' 00" W, 10.00 feet; THENCE, N 5° 51' 00" E, 35.00 feet to the southerly right-of-way line of said Farm -to -Market Road; THENCE, along said southerly right-of-way line and along the northerly line of said tract, S 84° 09' 00" E, 10.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 350 square feet, more or less. In the event the Board of Adjustment grants any special exception or variance to the Zoning Ordinance, applicable to the Special Permit herein granted, other than the one specified in this Special Permit, said Special Permit shall be void and of no force and effect whatsoever. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take ect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of ,� � , 190 ATTEST: Secre ,. —43:24e MAY APP UED: DAY OF J.
