AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4168, PLATTING ORDINANCE, BY
ADDING A NEW PARAGRAPH TO SECTION II, DEFINITIONS,
AMENDING SECTION III, PROCEDURE, AND ADDING A NEW
PARAGRAPH TO SECTION IV, DESIGN STANDARDS.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Corpus
Christi to provide for the efficient administration of its ordinances, and
regulations relating to the subdivision, development, and use of land in the
city and to clarify the intent and purposes of such ordinances by amending
same from time to time; and
WHEREAS, by the authority granted municipalities under Article
1105a., V.A.C.S., which is hereby deemed to be cumulative of powers granted
to cities under Article 974a and 1011a, V.A.C.S., the following amendment
providing for the orderly growth and development of the city is approved:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 4168, establishing the standards for
the subdivision of land in the city and within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction thereof, designated as the City's Platting Ordinance is hereby
amended by adding a new paragraph I to Section II, entitled Definitions, to
hereafter read as follows:
I. Building line. The limits of proposed street or
rural road right-of-way established by the Corpus Christi
Urban Transportation Plan for streets and roads in the
Corpus Christi Urban Transportation Study Area. Within
such building line no building or other permanent
structure shall be established.
SECTION 2. That Section IV, entitled Design Standards, is hereby
amended by adding a new subsection F thereto and redesignating the existing
subsections F and G to be hereafter designated as subsections G and H,
respectively, and new subsection F to hereafter read as follows:
F. Building lines
1. The building lines for buildings shall be established
with respect to the urban or rural street or road
cross-section types in accordance with the adopted Corpus
Christi Urban Transportation Plan, as amended, and
additional yard requirements shall be applicable in
accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Corpus Christi, Ordinance No. 6106, dated March 29, 1961,
as amended.

SECTION 3. That Section III, Procedure, Subparagraph G.1(b) and
H.1(e), is hereby amended by inserting the phrase "required yards adjacent to
streets" following the term "building lines" in each of the said
subparagraphs.
