APPROPRIATING $143,000 FOR CLEAN-UP OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE
PROPERTIES PROJECT, VOLUNTARY DEMOLITION PROGRAM, AND
ADMINISTRATION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION PROJECTS; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $143,000 out of the
Ninth Year Community Development Block Grant Supplemental Appropriation, of
which $100,000 is for the Clean-up of Public and Proviate Properties Project,
$18,000 is for a voluntary Demolition Program, and $25,000 is for
Administration of the Community Development Block Grant Supplemental
Appropriation Projects, as approved by City Council action on June 15, 1983.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by
appropriating the abovementioned funds at the earliest possible date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at
three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ,,,/9 day of July, 1983.

or at the present meeting of the City Council.
