CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 208 FOOT LONG PORTION OF 10 FOOT
WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF AND WHICH
ABUTS THE NORTHWEST BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 4R, BLOCK 1, SOUTH
FORK SUBDIVISION; SUBJECT TO PROVISIONS LISTED BELOW; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there exists a 208 foot long portion of 10 foot wide
drainage easement within the boundaries of and which abuts the northwest
boundary line of Lot 4R, Block 1, South Fork Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said easement, subject

to the provisions listed below:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned the 208 foot
long portion of 10 foot wide drainage easement within the boundaries of and
which abuts the northwest boundary line of Lot 4R, Block 1, South Fork
Subdivision, providing the lot be replatted, that the approximately 62.5 foot
long portion adjacent to building "B" be rededicated 0.51 feet to the north,
and that the remainder of the 208 foot long drainage easement be rededicated
to meet the existing 10' drainage easement at its east end.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient 'administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the
aforesaid drainage easement, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency
measure this the ,27 day of July, 1983.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
