HomeMy WebLinkAbout17732 ORD - 07/27/1983AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $5,500 FOR LABORATORY SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY TRINITY ENGINEERING TESTING CORPORATION IN CONNECTION WITH A PROPOSED OFFSHORE SAND RETENTION FACILITY ON CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $5,500 out of the No. 291 Park Bond Fund for laboratory services to be performed by Trinity Engineering Testing Corporation in connection with a proposed offshore sand retention facility on Corpus Christi Beach, applicable to Project No. 291-77-2, Corpus Christi Beach. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by appropriating the abovementioned funds at the earliest possible date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ?1 day of July, 1983.
