HomeMy WebLinkAbout17837 ORD - 09/21/1983AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $60,000 FOR THE CLEAN-UP OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTIES PROJECT AND EXPANDING THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT TO INCLUDE CENSUS TRACTS 9, 10 AND 13; AND DECLARING AN' EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $60,000 from the Supplemental CDBG Program for the Clean-up of Public and Private Properties Project and expanding the scope of the project to include Census Tracts 9, 10 and 13. Section 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by appropriating the funds necessary for the above project at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 21st day of September, 1983.
