AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $12,500 FOR THE CITY'S SHARE OF FINAL
CONSTRUCTION COSTS ON AIRLINE ROAD, WILLIAMS TO HOLLY, TO
SUPPLEMENT $332,100 PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED, WHICH IS TO
PLACED IN ESCROW WITH THE TEXAS STATE TREASURER; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $12,500 out of the
No. 220 Street Bond Fund for the City's share of final construction costs on
Airline Road, Williams to Holly, to supplement $332,100 previously
appropriated applicable to Project No. 220-77-11, Airline Road, Williams To
Holly, which is to be placed in escrow with the Texas State Treasurer,
Account of Trust Fund No. 927.
Section 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by
appropriating the funds necessary for the above project at the earliest
practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and
shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 28th
day of September, 1983.
