HomeMy WebLinkAbout17851 ORD - 09/28/1983AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $21,425 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL 7 BY CONDEMNATION FOR THE WOOLDRIDGE-STAPLES DRAINAGE OUTFALL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $21,425 out of the No. 295 Storm Sewer Bond Fund for the acquisition of parcel 7 by condemnation for the Wooldridge -Staples Drainage Outfall, Project 295-70-66, said parcel 7 being described by metes and bounds as follows: Being a rectangular shaped tract of land out of Lot 20, Section 19, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, as shown by map of record in Volume A, Pages 41, 42, 43, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point being the most westerly corner of abovementioned Lot 20; Thence N. 29°04'30" E., along the northwesterly line of Lot 20, a distance of 55.0 feet to a point; Thence S. 60°55'30" E., along a line that is 55.0 feet northeast of and parallel to the southwest line of Lot 20, a distance of 660.0 feet to a point, said point being on the southeast line of Lot 20; Thence S. 29°04'30" W., along the southeast line of Lot 20, a distance of 55.0 feet to a point, said point being the most southern point of Lot 20; Thence N. 60°55'30" W., along the southwest line of Lot 20, a distance of 660.0 feet to the point of beginning and containing 0.833 acres, more or less. Section 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by appropriating the funds necessary for the acquisition of the abovementioned parcel of land by condemnation at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three 17851 MICROFILMED 'SEP 2 81984 regular meetings so that this ordiannce is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 28th day of September, 1983.
