AMENDING THE CITY CODE, SECTION 29-18, TO INCREASE THE
FEE CHARGED BY MUNICIPAL COURT FOR THE ISSUANCE AND
SERVICE OF A WARRANT OF ARREST FROM $5 TO $25 EFFECTIVE
OCTOBER 1, 1983.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1034 passed by the Sixty -Eighth Legislature
states that the fee charged for the issuance and service of a warrant of
arrest for an offense under Section 38.11, Penal Code, or under Section 149,
Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways (Article 6701d, Vernon's Texas
Civil Statutes) not exceed $25;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: '
SECTION 1. That Section 29-18 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be amended by changing the warrant fee charged
by Municipal Court for the issuance of a warrant of arrest as set forth in
the last sentence of said section from $5 to $25.
