APPROVING FINAL COST FOR CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT
WITH McCULLOUGH CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR THE SLIPLINING OF
McARDLE ROAD, PHASE 2; APPROPRIATING $96,622.29; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the final cost for Change Order No. 1 to the contract
with McCullough Contracting Company for the sliplining of McArdle Road, Phase 2,
be approved.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $96,622.29 from the No.
250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 250-77-7.1, McArdle Road
Sanitary Sewer Sliplining Phase 2.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need to approve final costs on the abovementioned project at the earliest
practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or
resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall
take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 12th day of
October, 1983.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
