HomeMy WebLinkAbout17891 ORD - 10/19/1983AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A 5 FOOT WIDE AERIAL EASEMENT ALONG THE EAST LOT ONE OF LOT 7A, UNIT 2, WASHBURN MEADOWS SUBDIVISION; SUBJECT TO PROVISIONS LISTED BELOW; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, there exists a 5 foot wide aerial easement along the east lot line of Lot 7A, Unit 2, Washburn Meadows Subdivision, shown by plat in Volume 39, Page 50 and 51, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said easement, subject to the provisions listed below: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned the 5 foot wide aerial easement along the east lot line of Lot 7A, Unit 2, Washburn Meadows Subdivision, shown by plat in Volume 39, Page 50 and 51, Map Records, Nueces `County, Texas, providing that said Lot 7A be replatted at the owner's expense. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the aforesaid aerial easement, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 19th day of October, 1983.
