HomeMy WebLinkAbout17957 ORD - 12/01/1983C AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF AL HOGAN BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO PORTIONS OUT OF LOTS 1-6 AND 8-12, SUNSHINE ACRES SUBDIVISION, A PORTION OUT OF LOT 13, BLOCK 11, SUNSHINE ACRES SUBDIVISION, AND LOT 11, SECTION 19 FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS, FROM "F -R" FARM -RURAL DISTRICT TO "R -1B" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Al Hogan for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, December 1, 1983, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: • SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION Acres Subdivision Section 19, Flour and bounds below, be changed from District. 2. That the zoning on portions of Lots 1-6 and 8-12, Sunshine and a portion of Lot 13, Block 11, Sunshine Acres, and Lot 11, Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts as described by metes situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, "F -R" Farm -Rural District to "R -1B" One -family Dwelling FIELDNOTES for 59.71 acres of land, more or less, comprised of all of Lots 1-6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Sunshine Acres Subdivision, a map of which is recorded in Volume 11, Page 6, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, of the Northwest 146.00 feet of Lot 13, Block 11, Sunshine Acres, a map of which is recorded in Volume 34, Page 83, said Map Records and the Eastern half of the Westernmost five acres of Lot 11, Section 19, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, a map of which is recorded in Volume A, Pages 42-43 of said Map Records: 17957 "SEP 2 81984 BEGINNING at a point on the centerline of Holly Road for the North corner of this tract from which corner the East subdivision corner of The Meadows Unit 1, a map of which is recorded in Volume 46, Page 103, said Map Records and the North corner of said Lot 6, Sunshine Acres Subdivision bears South 29°00'00" West 60.00 feet; THENCE South 61°00'00" East, along said centerline of Holly Road, 660.00 feet, more or less, to a corner of this tract; THENCE South 29°00'00" West, leaving said centerline 330.00 feet, more or less, to an inside corner of this tract; THENCE South 61°00'00" East 660.00 feet, more or less, to the East corner of said Lot 8, Sunshine Acres Subdivision and the East corner of this tract; THENCE South 29°00'00" West, with the Southeast boundary line of said Lot 8-12, Sunshine Acres Subdivision, 1650.00 feet, more or less, to the South corner of said Lot 12, Sunshine Acres Subdivision and a corner of this tract; THENCE North 60°57'30" West 184.00 feet, more or less, to an inside corner of this tract; THENCE South 29°00'00" West 660.00 feet, more or less, to a point on the centerline of Wooldridge Road for the South corner of this tract; THENCE North 60°59'00" West, along said centerline, 311.00 feet, more or less, to a corner of this tract; THENCE North 29°00'00" East, leaving said centerline of Wooldridge Road, 660.00 feet, more or less, to an inside corner of this tract; THENCE North 60°57'30" West, along the Southwest boundary line of said Lot 1 and 12, Sunshine Acres Subdivision, 825.00 feet, more or less, to the West corner of said Lot 1 and the West corner of this tract; THENCE North 29°00'00" East, along the Northwest boundary line of said Lot 1-6, at 1920.00 feet, more or less, pass the aforementioned East subdivision corner of The Meadows Unit 1, in all a distance of 1980.00 feet, more or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6.
